Earlier or may be in some organisations, even now, it was expected that our emotions had no place in the workplace and that we checked them at the door once we arrived at work.
But now everyone is working from home, so no scope of checking out the emotions????
It will be better if they check in.
People are naturally emotional and need the opportunity to release these emotions in a safe and timely manner. Allowing employees to express their frustrations, anger, and disappointments can lead to better relationship building and more energy and effort being focused on finding solutions.
Managers at all levels can do a great deal to demonstrate that expressing emotions is acceptable by doing so themselves.
Although they may not get their way, it is important that every employee get their say.
